Unveiling the Truth: GES Debunks 'Secret Recruitment' and Letter Sale Scams
In a recent statement, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has vehemently denied the spread of false information regarding a 'secret recruitment' process and the sale of teaching appointment letters.
The claims, which have been circulating on social media, suggest that individuals are being lured into paying up to GH¢25,000 for a chance at securing a teaching position. However, GES has categorically stated that these allegations are entirely unfounded.
The statement, issued on December 12, 2025, by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, clarifies that the Service has resumed the onboarding process for 2024 applicants after the extension of financial clearance in October 2025. This process has led to the issuance of new appointment letters for those who were initially onboarded with fake documents.
GES emphasizes that the recruitment process is entirely transparent and free of charge. The Service has also urged the public to be wary of any individuals or entities demanding payment for recruitment services. Anyone who has been approached or has evidence of such fraudulent activities is encouraged to report it to the security agencies.
The Service reiterates its commitment to maintaining an open and honest recruitment process, ensuring that all qualified candidates are given an equal opportunity to apply. GES encourages job seekers to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes.
